Retailers and Shoppers Prepare for Black Friday

Retailers and shoppers everywhere are getting ready for the biggest shopping day of the year…Black Friday! Employees are preparing to deal with the rush of people and mess after, while shoppers are planning the best way to snag the biggest deals so they can save on their holiday shopping.

Some experts say that this Black Friday may be the biggest in a while, as people are really looking for bargains. With the unemployment rate so high due the economic crisis, many families are doing all they can to get Christmas gifts with the little money they have, and there is no better time than the day after Thanksgiving to do this.

Many store managers are gearing up for the big day by telling their employees ahead of time when they will work, where they will be posted in the store, and when they will be scheduled for a break. Black Friday is always a hectic day for retailers, so they are trying to hit all of their bases before hand. Businesses are also hard up to attract shoppers, so they have been advertising sales for Friday.

Although shoppers will line up in front of stores around 4am or earlier, these deals won’t be easy to get. There are some tips for them to consider, like shopping in groups so that they can hit up multiple stores by splitting up. It’s beneficial to even make out a list of things to get at each store.

Aside from Black Friday being the busiest shopping day of the year, it may be one of the most dangerous too. There are multiple stampedes into stores, fights breaking out, and more each year. So shoppers need to remain cautious of their surroundings at all times and think about the safety of themselves and everyone around them.
