Jennifer Lopez Fall was Planned for AMAs

During the American Music Awards, there were a number of performances, but Jennifer Lopez’s became one of the hottest topics on Twitter. During the show, the singer attempted to perform a stunt jump off the back of one of her back-up dancers, but instead of sticking the landing, her feet slipped from under her, causing her to fall right on her best asset.

During an interview with Ryan Seacrest for his radio show on Monday, he asked her about the fall. Her response was a question of if she tripped. She said that she didn’t even remember and joked that it was all part of the choreography. Then she proceeded with a more serious response, saying that it isn’t about the fall but about the recovery, and she accepted props for doing this so fast and well.

Her attitude during the interview was total opposite of the livid way she felt backstage right after the performance. A source reports that she was absolutely fuming, adding that she is a perfectionist and worked hard on making that show, which was her comeback performance, perfect. She was so mad about the mishap that Dick Clark Productions, who heads the event, edited it out for when it aired later on the west coast. They showed Lopez jumping in slow motion before cutting to her solo dance right after.

It didn’t take long for the incident to become one of the most searched topics on YouTube and Google though, while it was one of the most buzzed about things on Twitter as well. Towards the end of Monday, however, the hype began to dwindle down after Adam Lambert’s sexual performance started to gain more attention and complaints from viewers. Lopez’s fall wasn’t that bad after all, especially with such a nice recovery.
