Katie Price Stays in Australia for I’m A Celebrity Payment
Although Katie Price walked out of the jungle earlier this week, she hasn’t returned home and probably won’t for another 10 days. Apparently the glamour model is obligated to stay in Australia until the end of “I’m A Celebrity” on December 5 in order to collect her £250,000 for the time she was on the show.
Despite having to stay away from the kids she says she misses, Katie isn’t miserable on Gold Coast. She is taking advantage of the extra time to get some shopping done, sunbathe, film for her reality show, as well as enjoying champagne with friends. This is like a 360-spin from the emotional departure she had leaving camp, telling the hosts of the show that she really missed her kids and just couldn’t take doing anymore bush tucker trials - she had been the only one voted to do them since she arrived.
In an extra bit of drama, ex-husband Peter Andre, who is happily watching over the children while she is gone, has asked Katie to return home, because the kids miss her. However, aside from saying earlier that doing the show wasn’t for the money, she is staying just so she can get paid. Since she quit the show, though, she will forfeit £100,000 from the original £350,000 contract with ITV.
Oh, Katie….You say that you have changed, yet you are only creating more drama! Quitting “I’m A Celebrity”, announcing the break up with Alex Reid on live television, and partying in Australia while the kids are calling out - all of this is just more drama. It’s getting old!
