Robbie’s Mum Says Proposal IS Genuine
Early Yesterday, the Australian radio station 2Day FM aired an interview in which Robbie Williams proposed to his current girlfriend, American actress Ayda Field. The on-air conversation consisted of Williams asking Field to marry him and her casually, almost flipiant acceptance.
The bizarre interview left fans of the singer flabbergasted, as media outlets scrambled to figure out if the proposal was genuine. Williams and Field joked about tying the knot on the radio station which was aired live, yesterday (November 27).
Now, Williams’ management team are insisting that the conversation heard live on the air was nothing more than a small joke, however, Williams’ mother is now coming forward to say that the proposal had been planned for sometime.
Jan Williams confirmed that the happy couple will, in fact, wed. Field and Williams, who have been dating for three years now, having been talking about marriage for sometime, according to the doting mum.
Jan Williams continued telling BBC Radio 5 Live that she knew about the proposal a week in advance, and that Robbie had even, so much, as purchased a ring to gift his girlfriend with.
Robbie’s mum continued to spill the beans stating that the wedding would be soon, saying that she would not reveal the actual date, but that it would be in the near future.
