Whittle Remains in Line-up for Strictly Come Dancing
Reps for the show Strictly Come Dancing are reporting that Ricky Whittle will be performing on the upcoming episode of the show. The actor from Hollyoaks was placed under arrest on Friday night after an altercation at Liverpool city centre.
Authorities have said that the incident was a collision in which a vehicle struck a male pedestrian, possibly a photographer. Authorities, who did not reveal the identities of either party, have confirmed that the arrested individual was released after posting bail once he had been questioned.
A spokesperson for the Merseyside Police gave an interview to Digital Spy this afternoon saying that, for now, the individual as been released on bail but that further inquiries were still pending. A spokesperson for BBC announced that Strictly Come Dancing would continue their scheduled programming as normal with Whittle remaining in the line-up.
Whittle’s character in Hollyoaks is Calvin Valentine. Hollyoaks is a drama series based in Liverpool. Whittle is currently in the top five as a finalist in the reality dance show and is favoured for the win as a strong dancer on the show.
