Tiger Woods crashes car after rowing with wife
Tiger Woods has crashed his car after allegedly rowing with wife Elin Nordegren. The golf legend is said to have been leaving his driveway at around 2am when he hit a fire hydrant and a tree. On hearing the crash his wife ran out of the £15 million home the couple share to help her husband who had not been wearing a seatbelt. Elin stayed with her husband who was unconscious a lot of the time until the police arrived. The golfer is said to have hit his head on the windscreen of his Cadillac Escalade SUV just after leaving his driveway. It is thought that he was travelling at a low speed because the cars airbags failed to deploy. Tiger suffered some cuts to the face and was taken to hospital where he was released after twelve hours.
Recent reports have accused Tiger of cheating on his wife with thirty-four-year-old Rachel Uchitel who has been following him around the world on his golfing tours. Most recently she was photographed staying at the same hotel as Tiger whilst he played in the Australian Open. Tiger’s legal representatives have said that the accusations have no foundation.
Police will have to talk to the golfer about the accident. They have said that alcohol was not involved but Tiger could still be in a bit of trouble for driving recklessly and for not wearing his seatbelt. The mayor of Windemere, Gary Bruhn said that Tiger Woods was involved in a car accident but that there was nothing remarkable about what had happened.
