Strictly judge Alesha Dixon hints that she may not be back next year

Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon has hinted at the fact that she might decide that she does not want to return to the show for another series next year. She made the comments as she was launching her new jewellery range in London’s West End. Talking about the possibility of moving to the U.S. in order to concentrate on her musical career she said that she would see how things progressed but did point out that music was always going to come first in her life.

The announcement is likely to shock some at the BBC who stood by their decision to have Dixon as a judge on the show amidst public outcry. The BBC was accused of ageism when they sacked popular judge Arlene Philips aged sixty-six. Dixon aged thirty-one who won Strictly Come Dancing in 2007 was brought in. There was a huge furore as Dixon was savaged for her lack of ability as a judge. A spokesperson for the BBC has said that no decisions on next year’s panel of judges had yet been arrived at.

Dixon was dressed glamorously at her jewellery launch wearing a purple mini dress and a black belt. Earlier last week she was caught on camera behaving in a slightly less sophisticated manner just after having been refused entry to a nightclub. Showing her displeasure she started sticking two fingers up to a camera man who was standing nearby.

I hope Alesha doesn’t quit SCD, as I think she’s doing a BRILLIANT job.

The best judge on the panel!!!

Got something to say?
