T in the Park Tickets Go on Sale
Yesterday thousands of tickets for T in the Park went on sale in anticipation for the annual festival to be held next year. The event will take place at Balado in Kinross-shire and are being sold at a special price for those that get them in 2009. The organizers have said that for early birds who purchase theirs before 2009 there will be a special limited edition ticket price.
Next year’s festival will be headlined by Kasabian and is scheduled for July 9-11 in 2010. Last year’s festival, which was headlined jointly by Kings of Leon, Blur, Franz Ferdinand, and the Killers saw a crowd of over 85,000 fans. Tickets went on sale at 0900 GMT.
Ticket prices will vary depending on the day and concert. Ranging from £145 for shows on Saturday to £180 for Sunday concerts. The ticket price will include camping slots for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
A spokesperson for the event announced that this marked the second year that the show’s organizers had released tickets in December for the following year. She added that T in the Park event organizers offered the tickets last year at Christmas as well and offered special prices for those who purchased early. The final set of tickets are set to be released in 2010 as well, but these will be at a higher price bracket.
