Jedward Sign on With X Factor Management Team
X Factor is denying the recent rumors that John and Edward Grimes, known as Jedward, have struck a deal with the show’s mentor Louis Walsh. Walsh, manager for Westlife, will aim to manage the twins’ budding careers in conjunction with Ashley Tabor, the CEO of Global Group, a broadcasting company.
The twins’, who are rumored to have signed Walsh to be their manager, are looking to take on record deals and possible TV appearances. Last month, the duo were booted off the show after losing out to many of the more talented competitors on the programme.
Despite not being able to win over Simon Cowell while on the programme, Jedward did entertain the public audience winning over a high number of votes from the public while on the show. This majority public approval was the main contribution to their staying power on the show.
Walsh commented on the signing saying that he believed John and Edward had proved their star power on the show despite the judges lack of faith in them. Walsh continued saying that he believed the boys had an incredible career opportunity ahead of them.
Walsh said that the duo came up with an amicable agreement with management company, Modest Management, which will also represent the 12 remaining X Factor contestants. Modest Management also previously handled X Factor success stories Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke, and will remain the management team for the other finalists from the show.
