Laila Rouass leaves Strictly Come Dancing
Footballers Wives star Laila Rouass did little to impress the judges on Strictly Come Dancing this week and found herself going home after a dance off with Ricky Whittle, the bookies favourite to win the competition. She scored the lowest of the evening for both of her dances and came in for heavy criticism from the judges. Craig Revel Horwood called her performance disappointing for this far through the competition. Bruno Tonioli echoed the sentiment when commenting on her salsa. He said it had no tone or rhythm and that he could not remember seeing such awful dancing in the semi-finals.
The judges were short on praise for most of the dancing and made it obvious that as the competition comes top a close the contestants are going to have to up their games. Ricky Whittle and his partner Natalie Lowe were able to reverse last weeks less than stellar performances with a cha cha cha that was described by Craig Revel Horwood as sexy and a foxtrot which he thought was amazing. However making it to the top of the scoreboard was not enough to save them from the dance off as members of the public voted to keep Chris Hollins in the competition.
Bette Midler was guest performer on the show and seemed a bit worried that Bruce Forsyth might actually follow through with the offer of a striptease in honour of the actress’ up coming birthday. Pop star Lily Allen is due to perform on next weeks show.
