Danyl Johnson Hopes for Album Release after X Factor Tour
Although Danyl Johnson was voted off “X Factor” this weekend, viewers were told by head judge and music mogul Simon Cowell on “The Xtra Factor” that this will not be the last time they see or hear the contestant. Later, Simon insisted that Danyl has a music career ahead of him.
These comments suggest that Danyl will have an album soon, and he is hopeful of a deal as well, yet he is being realistic about his chances. He says that the winner is usually the only one to a deal, but he’s going to see what happens next. After the tour coming up, for which he is set to make £150,000, Danyl added, they may sit down and have a chat to see about a deal. However, he also elaborated on his dream, saying that he wants to go into a recording studio, work with some great producers and make a really good album.
Simon appears to be just as eager about signing him a record deal, while other labels seem to be interested too. Danyl is even being compared to Jamiroquai, an English band that played alternative/funk/soul/disco/acid jazz music and were prominent during the acid jazz movement in London during the 1990s.
Meanwhile, now that Danyl will have to sit out and watch the series’ final, he is rooting for Olly Murs to win. He add that, although he hates being out of the show, he is really glad that Olly is there to compete. The two have become great friends during the two months of the show airing.
