Stacey, Olly and Joe Prepare for X Factor Finale
The end of “X Factor” is drawing near, and the finalists are getting ready. The three (Stacey Solomon, Olly Murs and Joe McElderry), along with the show’s judges and their mentors (Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and the infamous Simon Cowell), attended a press conference this week before the weekend’s winning announcement.
The show is hugely popular, with millions tuning in every week to help vote on who they like the most, ultimately leading to the winner of the competition. There have been huge stars born from the series, including Leona Lewis in 2006 and Alexandra Burke in 2008.
During the press conference, the three finalists reminisced about their favorite points in the show, as well as reflected on what will be the biggest nights of their lives. Stacey said that she feels she’s come to the end of everything, and she’s really happy with the level of pressure. Olly agreed with her, saying that they aren’t really nervous, as they only have to have a good time and a really good night. Let the best person win, he added. However, Joe admits to having some jitters before the big night, saying that he tries to put all of the nerves into his performance.
Simon also confirmed that the three final contestants will be doing duets on Saturday - Olly singing with Robbie Williams, Joe singing with George Michael, and Stacey singing with Michael Buble. However, he wouldn’t give any details about who would be performing on Sunday for the final results show, only saying that there are a few surprises for audience members and viewers.
