Carrentals.co.uk Number 1 Natural Search for Car Hire
Award-winning car hire comparator Carrentals.co.uk has been ranked the top natural search for car hire search terms during the month of September. The website has achieved 54% of the 1.5 million searches related to car hire with a ranking of 1 for 147 of the 3,800 keywords analyzed.
These statistics have been put together by Greenlight, the leading independent search engine marketing agency. Greenlight also reports that Carrentals.co.uk was the number 1 search term both domestically and worldwide by 63% and 52% respectively. It was also the most visible website among all car hire keywords.
Carrentals.co.uk managing director Gareth Robinson said “Greenlight’s report highlights the strength of our position online, with our expertise in search engine optimization positioning us at the forefront of the market. Despite the recession, 2009 has been a great year for us, with our sales outstripping targets across the board.” The site has previously reported a 38% increase in year-on-year bookings, as well as a 72% revenue increase.
Carrentals.co.uk has achieved all this success in only 6 years, after first launching as a car hire broker in 2003. The company relaunched in 2007 as a car hire comparison site and has since won Best Car Hire Website for the 2008 Travolution Awards, as well as Best Ski Car Rental for the 2008/09 Good Ski Guide Oscars.
