Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullum to marry in New Year
Jazz singer and musician Jamie Cullum and model Sophie Dahl are to wed in the New Year at a ceremony which, according to sources, will be a winter wonderland. Lime Wood House in Hampshire has been booked for the nuptials and will be decorated with fairy lights and candles for the event as well as Sophie’s favourite flowers which include black hypericum, white roses and blue eucalyptus. A source says that thirty-two-year-old Sophie has hired a wedding planner to deal with the details after she and her mother fell out in a couple of occasions over the organisation. The source claims that Sophie’s mother Tessa was getting a little too involved in the whole thing.
Invitations illustrated with flowers and birds have already been sent out and the names of those the couple wish to be present at their wedding include Hollywood a-listers Clint Eastwood, Keira Knightley, Nicole Kidman and Jude Law. Although the couple have not made a deal with a magazine for the rights to photograph their wedding they have hired a professional photographer for the night and asked guests to leave their cameras at home. The source went on to say that Jamie and Sophie were extremely excited about the event and were trying to keep the details as much of a secret as possible. Children will not be allowed at the service according to the source as Sophie does not want any interruptions. Although the model has put herself firmly in charge of the organisation of the day it is Jamie who is in control of the music. He allegedly plans to serenade his bride with a specially written song.
