Duchess in plans to sell royal heirlooms on QVC

In a bid to bolster her finances the Duchess of York is allegedly planning to sell imitations of royal heirlooms on the shopping channel QVC. A source said that the Duchess was already in talks with the shopping channel about creating her own brand and selling it on air and that the channel was keen. The source went on to say that the Duchess was trying to keep her plans from the Royal Family and that they are likely to be less than impressed when they find out what she is up to. Sarah Ferguson has always said that she would never use her name or connection with the Royal Family to make money for herself.

It is thought that the range of royal replicas will include glassware, china, bed linen and silverware all based on royal themes and all with the Sarah Fergusson logo on them. One of the items offered to QVC is apparently a dolls house based on the Queen’s cottage at Windsor in which she used to play as a small girl. The Palace is sure to be annoyed if the Duchess goes ahead with her plans. Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler sparked outrage when he decided to market a jewellery collection based on pieces owned by the deceased princess.

The source close to the Duchess said that she would sell her lifestyle brand in the U.S. because she still has some fans over there and American’s were more likely to spend money on royal themed knick knacks.
