Missing Myles Robinson’s Body Found
The body of missing British graduate Myles Robinson was found on Monday and identified, according to Swiss authorities on Tuesday. The Swiss police released a statement saying that his body was found by a private search team close to Wengen.
The 23-year-old’s family was convinced that he was kidnapped and being held against his will. He hadn’t been seen since the early of hours last Tuesday when he was escorting a friend back to her hotel room. Just before that he was at the Blue Monkey bar with is friends and sister, playing pool and drinking beer in high spirits. He left the bar at 12:19am, according to cameras.
His 25-year-old sister Cara suspected foul play immediately and organized a search party of over 70 people. She said that they knew he wouldn’t have run off and were certain he was the victim of a crime.
Sources close to authorities said on Monday night that Myles’s body was found in a steep valley near where he was seen last. A police spokeswoman said on Tuesday that it appears he fell and suffered fatal injuries, as the path he took is very dangerous in the winter. An autopsy showed no signs of foul play from another party, she added, but they are still investigating.
Myles was on a festive break in Wengen with his family, something they have been doing together for years. His girlfriend, 21-year-old Sophie Harral, planned to join them. After the new year, Myles was suppose to start a new job with a finance company.
