15-Year Old Dies of Heart Attacks on Christmas Eve

In a tragic turn of events, 15-year old Amy Carter died after suffering a series of heart attacks just days after health officials told her she was only suffering from the “flu”. The teenage girl had been seen on two occasions by her general practitioner prior to her emergency hospital visit on December 19.

On both occasions to her neighborhood GP, the young girl had been sent home with flu symptoms. Then on December 19, when she began to take ill again, her parents rushed her to the hospital, where doctors admitted her.

However, once at the hospital Amy Carter was again kept overnight for observations but then released with a diagnosis of the flu. After her release from the hospital, Amy spent the next several days in bed, recovering from the flu.

While the teenage girl rested at her home in Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, her parents began to become worried. Jacqueline, 48, and Richard, 43, finally called their local GP once again, and after the second consultation where instructed to take her to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Amy was taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital on Christmas Eve and died later that same day at the hospital. The coroner, who performed a complete autopsy on the girl, said that she succumbed to a series of cardiac arrests.

Yesterday, Amy’s grief-struck father, Richard, sent out a message of tribute for his teenage daughter saying that he has found comfort in the fact that Amy was well-liked and loved by everyone around her.

Since her death on Christmas Eve, almost 900 people have written messages to Amy on her Facebook page. A friend close to the family said that Amy’s death was so sudden as everyone thought she was a healthy, normal teenager girl.

Tragic storey made worse by poor use of the English language!
“her parents began to become worried”
“after the second consultation where instructed”

Tom, I suggest you start night classes!
