John Terry Going to Dubai for Valentine’s
John Terry is set to spend Valentine’s Day with Toni Poole, his wife, in Dubai. The Chelsea captain will be missing the FA Cup fifth round match against Cardiff City on Saturday so that he can save his marriage.
Ray Wilkins, the assistant manager for Chelsea, announced that Terry will be taking the speculated break after the team lost 2-1 to Everton on Wednesday night. The loss cut their lead over the English Premier League to just one point.
It’s been a rough few weeks for Terry, his family and all his teammates. After the allegations of him having an affair with French model Vanessa Perroncel, ex-girlfriend to former teammate Wayne Bridge, were published by News of the World, his whole world has been turned upside down - not to mention his wife being devastated, yet she says she will stand by him. She did take the kids to Dubai, however, to get away from the media frenzy. Then at the end of last week a decision was made by England manager Fabio Capello to strip the title of captain from the footballer.
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has stood by and supported Terry through all of this and has agreed to let the footballer have a break. Terry was said to be wanting to go to Dubai to spend the Valentine’s holiday with his wife and try to save his marriage, so they talked about it and decided the time off was a good idea.
This time away won’t be all cake and ice cream though, as reports say Toni has laid a few rules down. This will be especially true if the rumors are true that of his in-laws will be there too. Good luck with that man!
