Gatorade Drops Tiger Woods from Endorsements
Gatorade has just become the newest in a long line of sponsors to drop Tiger Woods from their ads. The sports drink supplier officially announced their split with Tiger Woods announcing that the company no longer saw a need to partner with the world’s top ranking golfer.
A week Tiger Woods publicly apologized to his fans and his family on national television for his sexual escapades which have been the talk of the tabloids since the pro-golfer struck a tree with his car on Thanksgiving.
Just after the scandal broke, Gatorade immediately pulled their Tiger Focus sports drink off the shelves, but the company has just now affirmed that they have dropped all ties with the sports star. Gatorade is the third sponsor to which Tiger Woods has lost major endorsement deals since his car crash outside his home.
Currently Tiger Woods is back in a rehab facility for sex addiction where he has said he plans to treat his issues with the hope of reuniting his family. Elin, Tiger’s wife, has visited him once in rehab, however, she has yet to be photographed with her wedding ring on.
The sports star has adamantly maintained that his family will stay together, but Elin is keeping mum on the subject. For now, the two are still together, although they have not resided in the same home since the night of the Thanksgiving incident.
