Ashley Cole Seeks Divorce before World Cup
It’s now being said that Ashley Cole wants his divorce from Cheryl to go quickly - by the summer actually. This news comes two weeks after the Girls Aloud singer was rumored to wanting a quickie divorce as well. However, there have also been recent rumors that the two agreed to meet for marriage counselling, which was just crazy.
To recap the main issue behind the divorce, Ashley was caught cheating on Cheryl again. Nude photos that the Chelsea footballer sent to a topless model were leaked through a tabloid. Then 3 other women came forward to tabloids, giving their accounts about how they slept with him - one was as recent as last summer, when the footballer and singer were suppose to be reconciling from the first time he was found to be cheating on her in 2008.
A source tells tabloids that Ashley has been telling his buddies that he can feel their marriage ending, and there’s little hope that Cheryl will be willing to work through this after all that he’s done. He wants their divorce to be quick and over by the summer so that he can better concentrate on the World Cup, the insider says.
All this chaos has been going on for a month, and the couple hasn’t seen each other since Cheryl performed at the BRIT Awards just after Valentine’s Day. The source says that they are suppose to see each other sometime this week to talk about the divorce, but that isn’t a sure thing. It’s their hope that Cheryl and Ashley will want to reconcile after seeing each other face-to-face for the first time since most of this has happened.
