Celebrity Cruises Announces Trendy Fusion Restaurant

Celebrity Cruises is going out on a limb with a new novelty restaurant to be featured aboard their ships. The eatery called Qsine will cost $30 per person and seems to focus more on stylings and atmosphere than it does quality of food.

Menu items at the eccentric new restaurant will include mini-grilled burgers being dubbed “Slider Party” and “Sushi Lollipops”. The first one will debut onboard the Celebrity Eclipse, which can hold up to 2,850 passengers, in April.

Jacques Van Staden, Celebrity’s Vice President of Culinary Operations, said that the new eatery Qsine will serve to provide guests with a new approach to very familiar international dishes. Van Staden added that guests usually enjoy new styles and dining experiences.

As far as modern design touches, Qsine’s menu will be displayed onĀ  a large, lit-up square, deserts will be served in twistable cubes, and wait staff will be outfitted in custom made square jackets. The restaurant will open nightly on the Celebrity Eclipse between 18:00 and 23:00.

Qsine will be replacing the Asian cuisine restaurant Silk Harvest on all earlier models of the Solstice Class line. Reservations can be made at the restaurant online by passengers booked onto Celebrity Eclipse cruises.
