Corey Feldman Talks to Larry King about Corey Haim
38-year-old actor Corey Feldman had an interview on Larry King Live Wednesday night to discuss the life and death of Corey Haim, his 38-year-old best friend, earlier that day. He expressed in the interview how frustrated he is that people are saying he overdosed on drugs.
Feldman said that everyone needs to stop springing to conclusions, speculating that Haim overdosed and creating their own theories about his death. The cause of death, he added, won’t be official until the report comes back from the coroner, along with the toxicology test results and evidence to prove the cause.
At about 2:15am (PT) on Wednesday, Haim was pronounced dead at the hospital. He had been taking over-the-counter and prescription medications for flu-like symptoms he had been having two days before his death. He was also taking prescriptions for a sobriety program he was involved in. Although officials didn’t find illicit drugs in his apartment, it’s still likely that he died from an unintentional overdose caused by all the medication he was taking.
Feldman also told King that he was shocked to hear his best friend died, as he just talk to him 3 or 4 days ago. He said that Haim was giving him advice about something that had upset him and was being positive about it. Feldman also mentioned that the two were in talks to film License to Fly, which would have been the sequel to License to Drive.
The actor also had an interview on The Early Show yesterday morning. He told the hosts that he believes Haim didn’t intentionally overdose on medications.
