Cheryl Cole to Hire Former Prince Charles Lawyer for Divorce
It’s been reported that Cheryl Cole has already met with a divorce lawyer to represent her while she splits from Chelsea footballer Ashley - the same one that represented Prince Charles during his split from Princess Diana. Fiona Shackleton, the lawyer in question, also represented Sir Paul McCartney during his divorce from Heather Mills. It’s thought that Cheryl’s choice of representation is because she wants the divorce to be over as soon as it can be.
A source is saying that the singer is being told that she shouldn’t take this divorce to court, while Ashley’s lawyers may build a case that she wasn’t the best of wives either. Cheryl has hardly seen the footballer for months on end because of work, her mother’s presence in the house has been anything but conducive to romance, and she can be moody and demanding on an occasion, the source continued. She also has a difficult side, added the insider, as this is a girl that was found guilty of punching a toilet attendant at a nightclub.
Cheryl and Ashley met with each other for talks at their home in Surrey over the weekend, but the meeting was short-lived. The singer wound up kicking the footballer out, which is when the rumor of her divorce lawyer came about, but this hasn’t been confirmed. It’s also reported Cheryl has been informed that their assets will probably be equally divided since they have been married for less than 4 years.
For Cheryl’s sake, we hope this split will be as fast and painless as it can be. She has been put through a lot of humiliation, which she doesn’t deserve, and it’s time for it to just be over.
