American R&B and Urban Soul singer Trey Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson, is coming to the UK for a couple of performances. He has become a well known artist since the release of his debut album I Gotta Make It in 2005. Before that he recorded mixtapes under the name Prince of Virginia. Since his debut album, Trey Songz has released two other albums - Trey Day in 2007 and Ready in 2009.
Although Trey Songz hasn’t won any awards, he has been nominated for many - BET Award for Best Male R&B Artist, Ozone Award for Best R&B Artist and Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for Can’t Help but Wait in 2008; Soul Train Awards for Best Collaboration for Successful in 2009; and Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R&B Album for Ready in 2010. One day he will simply blow everyone out of the water and win these same honors.
