Jessica Simpson Dating Ex-NFL Star Eric Johnson
Jessica Simpson is back in the dating game, and she’s chosen another footballer. According to reports, a close friend of the singer/actress confirmed that she is dating former 49ers tight end Eric Johnson. The source said that she is happy that she has found a great guy, and they have been dating since May.
Johnson was drafted to the 49ers in 2001 and had his best career year in 2004, leading the team in receiving 82 catches for 825 yards and making 2 touchdowns. Throughout his career with the Saints and 49ers, he totaled 240 catches for 2,178 yards and 9 touchdowns, and he is now a free agent.
Simpson has previously been married to singer Nick Lachey. The two appeared in Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica on MTV, which helped launch her career, but they split up in 2006. Since then she has been linked to singer John Mayer, who told Rolling Stone Magazine that sex with her was like sexual napalm, and Tony Romo, the quarterback for the Saints who famously broke up with her last year on her birthday.
Simpson has also been making other changes to her life, posting on Twitter at the end of last month that she has started a vegan diet with special Pu-erh tea from China. She says that she has been working on her self-esteem and feels optimistic about finding love.
The singer will be turning 30 this Saturday (July 10). In May, she said that she thinks 30 will be a good year for her, as she can find love anywhere. Well let’s just start with wishes that this relationship is at least better than her last.
