Europcar becomes Premium Partner for Air Berlin
Europcar, the leading car hire company in Europe, and Air Berlin, the second biggest carrier in Germany, have created a new Premium Partnership in order to give the airline’s leisure and business customers quality car hire services. This partnership was effective as of July 1.
In addition to Europcar’s award-winning quality, range of cars, customer service and extensive network, they will offer customers of Air Berlin the best rates available, including prepaid rates in many of the carrier’s destinations. Car hire will now be part of the airline’s flight reservation process and will be available through dedicated co-branded micro-sites from the carrier’s website. Plus, Air Berlin ticket call centres will transfer calls to the call centres for Europcar, which will be available all day, every day. The airline will also promote the car rental company’s products and services.
Europcar International global sales and marketing director Guirec Grand-Clément says that they and Air Berlin have gone from strength to strength since partnering with the ‘topbonus’ program. Being chosen as a Premium Partner is proof that their partnership offers value to customers. Europcar looks forward to welcoming more of the airline’s customers to their network of stations, he added.
Europcar Germany chief commercial officer Dr. Bernd Schmaul said that Air Berlin is a strong European brand and stands for excellent service and fair price, as they do. This partnership will help Europcar to further strengthen their position at international airports, as well as to intensify their targeting of leisure and business customers, he added.
Air Berlin marketing director André Rahn said that their passengers will be able to select Europcar’s products with a single click. The car hire company offers their passengers optimum service with the best possible terms, he continued. Air Berlin is pleased to expand their relationship with Europcar, he added.
