Carrentals.co.uk Video Competition starts on YouTube
Carrentals.co.uk, the world’s best car hire comparator online, has begun a video challenge on YouTube. They are looking for participants that can make the best car-themed video clip, and they will give the winner one of the new Apple iPads.
The competition is being called ‘The Carrentals.co.uk Video Challenge‘. Anyone can enter, and it’s free. Those who want to participate will need to make a car-related video that is no longer than 1 minute and 30 seconds, upload it to their own account on YouTube and then submit it to the Carrentals.co.uk YouTube page. The last day that creators can enter is September 30, 2010, which gives everyone about 11 weeks.
Carrentals.co.uk will review the videos for approval to be posted on the challenge page for others to view until the competition ends. Then the website will judge the video clips and announce a winner on October 14, 2010. The winner of The Carrentals.co.uk Video Challenge will receive a 16GB Apple iPad. Whoever comes in third place will get £50 of vouchers to use at John Lewis, and third place will get £25 in shopping vouchers.
Gareth Robinson, Carrentals.co.uk’s managing director, said: “We know what an important role video plays on the Internet these days, which is why we wanted to bring together a selection of the best car-related clips for people to watch all in one place. The videos can be on anything relating to cars, but have to make the Carrentals judges laugh and they must be legal, safe and comply with all terms and conditions for the entrant to be in with a chance of winning an iPad.”
