New Big Brother Housemates Given Cooking Task

Big Brother gave the new housemates a cooking challenge yesterday. The trio - Rachael, Andrew and Keeley - was made to dress in traditional chef outfits yesterday, with each of them cooking a meal during the day. Rachael was chosen to make breakfast, Keeley to cook lunch and Andrew was given dinner.

This task didn’t come without rules though. First, the chefs were given 15 ingredients that included: eggs, marrow, bombay mix, pastry case, hot curry paste, anchovies, custard, dragon fruit, liver, roquefort cheese, wraps, tomatoes, rice, baked beans and squirty cream. The catch is that each housemate has to use 5 ingredients for their meal without discussing it with each other, and the ingredients can’t be used more than once. This means that Andrew was left with whatever 5 ingredients the girls didn’t use.

The other housemates were only allowed to eat what the 3 newbies made for them and then critique each meal on a scale of 1 to 10 for a possible 110 points. Whichever chef that gets the most points was given a special reward at the end of the day. So how did they fair?

Well, Rachael’s omelet breakfast with eggs, tomatoes, bombay mix, baked beans and roquefort cheese turned out horrible. However, she got a generous 63 out of 110 from the housemates. Keeley did better with her curry lunch. She chose to use wrap, marrow, curry paste, anchovies and rice. The housemates seemed to enjoy the meal for the most part and gave her a total 98 out of 110. This left Andrew with liver, pie cases, squirty cream, dragon fruit and custard to make his dinner with. His liver and custard pie turned out better than anyone imagined, and he got a 108 out of 110 to win the task.  He was given £50 in £5 notes from Big Brother.

Meanwhile, the housemates have nominated who they want to go up for eviction this week, and the results aren’t surprising at all. Ife, Corin and Caoimhe will now be voted on by the public, and one will be evicted on Friday.
