In a secret ceremony in the Bahamas over the weekend, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem got married. The two exchanged vows at a friend’s house with close family attending. Penelope wore a dress by John Galliano that brought tears to Javier, according to sources.
This comes after the couple started dating three years ago and then worked on the film Vicky Cristina Barcelona in 2008, which won Penelope an Oscar. However, they have been friends since meeting in 1992 for the filming of Jamon Jamon.
Penelope and Javier didn’t officially announce their relationship until last year. Javier continued to keep his private life guarded, however, until the Cannes film festival this year. The representative says that the actress is currently filming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which is the fourth movie in the franchise, in the Bahamas.
