Global chancers try to win big with Lotto
Chancers around the world are hoping to cash in by playing the Lotto after it was announced that a woman from the US hit jackpot on four separate occasions. Joan Ginther, 63, has won a total of £14 million, the latest £6.2 million of which came from a scratch card she purchased at a small store in Texas. The lucky lady has had tremendous success with lotteries, with three of her four jackpots coming from the same shop in Bishop, Texas.
The news of Ms Ginther’s incredible fortune, as well as the information found on the lotteries.org.uk web site, have led thousands of Britons to try and beat the odds by playing in the UK National Lottery, the most efficient in all of Europe. Numbers are drawn twice a week, each Saturday and Wednesday night, and those who pick the correct ones can contact official operator Camelot the following day to confirm that they are the lucky winners.
Camelot also is the official Euro lottery sponsor, and although the Euro lottery costs twice as much to play, the £2 ticket is well worth the expense as the rewards are much greater than the UK National Lottery. The largest winning jackpot was a whopping £113 million, shared by two lucky winners; a couple from Cirencester and a British expat living in Mojocar, Spain.
