Big Brother Housemates Nominate Each Other Face-to-Face

Big Brother was really busy yesterday. Not only did the housemates nominate each other for eviction with a twist, but the nominees, except for one, also took part in this week’s Save and Replace task.

For the first time this series, the Big Brother housemates had to nominate each other face-to-face, but this wasn’t the worst part. They were all lined up in the garden and told that they had to hurl a bucket of gunge all over the two people they wanted to nominate. There were 4 buckets each filled with gunge, custard, baked beans and spaghetti mix, mud and Big Brother’s special sauce - milk, vegetable soup, blue food coloring, lentils, dried fruit, cornflour and fish sauce.

Because Josie, John James and Dave talked about nominating Sam, they were banned from nominating him. After the nomination event, Dave, JJ, Jo and Mario were the ones chosen to face the public vote.

As part of the earlier punishment for breaking the nomination rules, Dave wasn’t allowed to participate in the Save and Replace task, but the other three did. They had to memorize a sequence of animal noises, and whoever remembered the most won. JJ memorized 6, Jo remembered 11 and Mario recalled an impressive 22 animal noises.

Because he won the Save and Replace, Mario then had to choose who would replace him in the public vote. He told the housemates that his system didn’t work last week, so he was just going to go with it. He added that he wouldn’t give his reasons to everyone, but whoever he chose could hear his explanation if they asked. Then Mario removed his photo from the nomination board and replaced it with Sam’s.

So now Dave, JJ, Jo and Sam are up for eviction this week. This makes the 3rd week in a row that Dave has been in the public vote, so it will be interesting to see if his luck continues.
