Adam Lambert and Kris Allen become ‘American Idol’ Finalists

A face off between Adam Lambert and Kris Allen can be seen next week in the finale of ‘American Idol’s’ season 8. Danny Gokey, a contestant who had never been at the bottom of the votes, received the least amount of the 88 million votes from fans Tuesday night, in what many considered an upset.
Only 1 million votes stood between Lambert, who has been considered the favorite, and Allen, the dark horse of the season. The two contestants are closer to the likes of David Cook, the victor over last season, than previous ‘American Idol’ winners such as Taylor Hicks, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia, Ruben Suddard, and Jordin Sparks.
Many analysts of the show had Adam Lambert figured to be in the finale, and Simon Cowell, one of the judges for the show, was certain that the singer deserved to be in the finale last week. Cowell actually implored fans to vote for him instead of inferring that he would be safe to go on, so when Ryan Seacrest gave Kris Allen’s name as a finalist first, the audience was surprised.
However, at the sound of Lambert’s name soon after, the crowd erupted. Adam Lambert has revived interest in the contest single-handedly, as well as captured many American hearts.
Although the contestants have both won, making it through the season ’till the end, the battle has not ended. Lambert and Allen will each compete for the last time next week to be the the season 8 winner of American Idol.

Kris is a good singer and will make a good recording artist, but Adam, if managed properly, will be come a worldwide super star. He is the most talented guy AI has ever had and I think he should win. Isn’t AI about finding a sensation? Vote your fingers off next week Lamberts!
I think it stinks that Simon came out so blatently for Adam. The AI show is just desperate to have him win to maintain their popularity. I think it was a tremendous disservice to the rest of the contestants during the competition when the judges just salivated over Adam every week. i think I’ll vote for Kris!
If you are a Kris fan there is a reason you should not vote for him. Kris will forever have to live in the shadow of knowing that the best singer did not win. This is not a popularity contest it is a singing contest, the singer that preformed the best over the course of this contest should win. That man is not Kris it is Adam Lambert. The voices do not compare. The opera experts were asked in a San Diego News Network article by Valerie Scher to comment on Adams voice. “Adam has tenor-like qualities along with some of the darker shadings of a baritone. He can also soar into the stratosphere with a fearless falsetto. Lean, supple and attractive, his voice is versatile enough for a variety of styles. And his attentiveness to pitch, phrasing and breath control indicates he’s combining his musical instincts with a firmly grounded technique.” “Adam’s diction in this song (Track of My Tears) is impeccable, something that’s the hallmark of a great singer in any genre (Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald come to mind, but also Renee Fleming and Bryn Terfel). That ability helps him to bend syllables and color certain words, making the communication of the overall song a joy to experience.” No one can twist reality so much as to suggest that Kris out sang Adam. Kris is a sweet religious guy, the kind of guy that will be bothered by the nagging knowledge that his friend would have easily won had not other issues came into play. I have no doubt if by chance Kris does win he will tell the world that Adam was the better singer, because in his heart of hearts he knows that and so does everyone that has watched this show. If it were my son, friend, brother or as a fan, I would not want him to win that way.
adam truly has captured many hearts and revived american idol
not only that, he HAS to be the most talented American Idol finalist in the last few seasons!
his vocals are out of this world, he’s unique in a good way, he’s daring and he’s such a sweetie ( he thanks his fans, the judges…. ) and he loves his fellow contestants sincerely.!
