Patrick Swayze Provides Photo as Proof of Life after Death Rumors
Patrick Swayze released a picture of himself and his wife in order to correct false rumors that the actor passed away last week. The star suffers from pancreatic cancer, and the photo visibly shows him thinner but smiling while at his ranch in New Mexico with Lisa Niemi, his wife, as well as Lucas and Kumasai, their two dogs.
According to reports from the Daily Mai, the photo was provided in response to a claim on a radio station in Florida that the actor passed away during the week. In a statement, Swayze said that the photo was to confirm that he didn’t pass away contrary to very reckless reports that came from a Jacksonville, Florida radio station. He said that he is alive and enjoying his life while his body continues responding to treatment.
Patrick Swayze, who is age 56 and starred in ‘Ghost’, has been praised during his battle against pancreatic cancer for his determination and strength. Doctors discovered the cancer after finding a malignant tumor in his midsection, as well as a small mass on his liver. He was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which can prove fatal in only months when in advanced stages, but Swayze’s body has responded well to treatments.
The recovery that he has had is considered miraculous, and earlier this year, he admitted to Barbara Walters in an interview that he had been afraid and asked ‘why him?’ However, he finished his work on ‘The Beast, a critically acclaimed TV series, and has said that there is more he wants to do.
This hasn’t been the only time that a rumor has been spread that he has passed away. It may not be the last either.
