‘Wife Swap’ Mom Jamie Czerniawski Stabs Husband Charles
Jamie Czerniawski has been accused of stabbing her husband Charles. Czerniawski is a 30-year-old mother and wife who has been featured on the reality show ‘Wife Swap’, which airs on the ABC network. She is also a former Miss Teen New Jersey.
The mother was freed from jail on $75,000 bail after being charged with aggravated assault. Court documents say that the woman slashed her husband Charles with a kitchen knife on Memorial Day in their Freehold home. It was reported that Charles, who is 34 years old, suffered serious injuries on his right arm, as well as spent two days in a hospital in the intensive care unit.
Czerniawski claimed to the New York Post that she was only acting out of self-defense. According to Czerniawski, the jealous ways of her husband after she receive a phone call from a mutual male friend led to her stabbing him.
According to the newspaper, Czerniawski said that Charles grabbed her wrist and pinned her against the kitchen island. She broke free and went for the knife, and when he pinned her shoulders to the floor using his knees, she stabbed him with the knife. The New York Post also quoted her saying that she didn’t initially tell her side of the story to the police because she “didn’t want him to get in trouble.”
However, the lawyer of her husband is disputing the claim that the stabbing was in self-defense. It has also been reported that the two have filed restraining orders on one another. Czerniawski also says that her husband emptied all of their bank accounts and cut her and the children off financially.
