Nude Keith Wright Forces US Airways flight to Divert

The bizarre behavior of a 50-year-old nude passengers made a US Airways flight divert. Keith Wright allegedly took off all his close in from of the 148 passengers on flight 705 from Charlotte to Los Angeles on Wednesday, according to an Albuquerque airport spokesperson.

The crew on the flight became alarmed by the passenger’s strange behavior after they saw him run around the plane and then refused to put his clothes back on or cover up with a blanket. Other passengers helped restrain Wright, eventually handcuffing him to a row of seats. The plane was then diverted to Albuquerque.

Matt McGinnis, one of the passengers on the US Airways flight, told News 13 that they had to physically hold him down to the floor in order to handcuff his ankles and wrists. A spokesperson for US Airways said that the passengers were notified that there was a violent passenger on board the flight, but they all stayed calm. Lynette Naude, another passenger, said that she fell asleep, and when she woke up she saw a naked man.

When the plane landed in Albuquerque, Wright was arrested while he was naked and taken into police custody. The US Airways flight then continued on its journey to Los Angeles after the arrest, and the passengers were given a reminder to keep their clothes on.

The FBI is investigating and holding the man, and they are charging him with interfering with flight crew members and attendants. Wright is to appear in a federal Albuquerque court on Thursday for taking his clothes off during a flight and causing the plane to be diverted.
