Family deny rumours that Michael Jackson took drugs
Rumours are flowing regarding the sudden and unexpected death of king of pop Michael Jackson. Although an official autopsy has been performed, the toxicology tests won’t be ready for several weeks. In addition, a private autopsy was performed by a Jackson family doctor, but the results are not being released to the public.
The most persistant rumour is that Michael Jackson’s death was induced due to drug abuse. On Thursday CNN showed video clips of a rehearsal taken two nights before Michael Jackson died. Many claim that Jackson looks emaciated in the video clips.
Also adding fuel to the fire is the reports that the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration had been asked to help Los Angeles police in their investigation. Also, several bags of medicines have been removed from Jackson’s house by coroner’s officials.
However, Michael Jackson’s family insists that the singer never touched drugs.
“Michael has always been a person who was against anything like that. … But in this business the pressures and things that you go through, you never know what one turn(s) to,” Jermaine said on NBC’s “Today” show.
Still, as people around the world wait impatiently for the results of the autopsy tests, speculation continues to be cast.
