‘New Moon’ Panel a Popular Attraction at Comic-Con

Comic-Con held a panel for three Summit Entertainment films, including the much awaited ‘New Moon’, and over 500 fans camped out overnight in order to get a spot in line. As the panel got closer, the line grew to nearly 7,000 people.

During the panel, Robert Pattinson, whose role is Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight’ saga, talked about becoming popular. He said that it isn’t so bad to become the object of affection for sexy-vampire-obsessed women. Pattinson continued that he never does things normal, and now just gets others do it. He also explained that he lives a nearly identical life away from being recognized, which isn’t the worst thing in the world.

Taylor Lautner, whose role is Jacob Black in the films, says that life has been much busier, but he and Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan, agree that getting the opportunity to see the fans at Comic-Con was one of the best experiences they have had with the ‘Twilight’ series. Stewart says that it’s a little overwhelming that there are so many people there, but it’s a good thing. Lautner added that he was a little nervous, but that was good.

However, there was one thing that Lautner wished to tell his fans to stop doing, which was asking him to growl for them. He said that he doesn’t really enjoy doing it, and they should just wait for the movie.

Other movies featured at the event include ‘Iron Man’, a remake of ‘Tron’, James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’, and a look at Tim Burton’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
