Winehouse makes shocking revelation
Over the last few years singer Amy Winehouse has often been involved in scandalous stories due to her drink and drug binges. However, this week it is her father, former taxi driver Mitch Winehouse who is in the news after revealing that he took drastic measures to try to shock his daughter into sobriety.
In a recent interview, Mitch Winehouse admitted that he “didn’t know which way to turn” when it become clear that his daughter had become addicted to heroin. After trying a number of tactics, Mitch Winehouse went as far as pretending to have a heart attack.
“I pretended I was seriously ill and even got our doctor to tell Amy that I was dying,” Mitch Winehouse admitted this week. “Once I even started screaming and said I was having a heart attack, but it didn’t work. Amy’s not stupid and she wanted to see my medical records proving I was actually ill. Her tipple of choice is Jack Daniel’s and coke and when she and her friends get together she can drink too much. But she tells me it’s something which she will stop - and I believe her. She did it with drugs, so she can do it with alcohol.”
