Brothels facing recession offer cut rate sex
German whore house owners who are feeling the bite of the recession are getting creative with new promotions to lure in more customers. Business in the world’s oldest profession is down nearly 30 % as a result of the economic downturn.
In response to the problem, brothels have come up with some pretty imaginative offers. One popular promotion is “flat rate sex”. This is one where the customer pays a flat fee of around €70 which allows him to have sex with as many hookers as many times as he wants or until he just collapses from exhaustion whichever comes first. Customers on this plan have been dropping like flies.
Another more civic minded promotion targets pensioners, another group hard hit by the recession, and offers rebates to the cash strapped seniors. After all, even the old guys deserve some booty every now and then and what better way to get it than at discount prices.
In a move to help the environment, some “green” establishments are offering a 10% discount to customers arriving by bicycle, bus, or any form of public transportation. Busses are expected to see a significant increase in passengers as a result.
But, the one that’s got people up in arms is the flat rate deal. That one even has the politicians who legalized prostitution in the first place upset. The ever pious interior minister from Baden-Württemberg, Heribert Rech said: “This is an outrageous violation of human dignity”.
So far no complaints have been reported by the prostitutes themselves.
