Crocodile set loose on a plane causes panic

In a scene reminiscent of the movie “Snakes on A Plane”, someone set loose a crocodile on an EgyptAir flight from Abu Dhabi to Cairo causing panic among passengers.

As the foot long reptile scurried up and down the aisle and ran under seats, frightened passengers screamed and raised their legs. Flight attendants chased after the animal and eventually were able to corner the beast and capture it. The captured crocodile was handed over to airport security when the plane finally arrived in Cairo.

It’s unclear at this point how the animal managed to slip by security checkpoints in Abu Dhabi and board the flight. It is illegal to transport wild animals into or out of Egypt. None of the passengers has taken responsibility for the incident and no one claimed the animal at baggage claim in Cairo.

An airport spokesman speaking on condition of anonymity said that the crocodile would be taken to the Giza zoo in Cairo.

The last time a similar incident occurred was back in 2007 when a Saudi man was caught trying to smuggle 250 reptiles including crocodiles, chameleons, and snakes out of Egypt. Those animals, however, never made it into the passenger cabin of any aircraft. They were similarly donated to the Giza zoo.

How did the reptile got into the plane in the first place without the authority noticing it.I can just imagine what the passengers went through in the air before it was caught.Thank God nobody got injured.
