Co-op Travel and Carrentals.co.uk Sign New Car Hire Deal
Co-op Travel has just recently signed a new car hire deal with leading comparison site Carrentals.co.uk. The agreement will see the Co-op Travel website compare prices from more than 35 car hire companies via a white label service, allowing them to also offer a more integrated experience to their customers. This will enable Co-op Travel customers to compare a broad range of companies, cars and prices via a fully branded car rental section.
Co-op Travel head of customer experience Justin Joyce says that their previous car rental offering “failed to offer quality customer experience…As a result, we looked to provide a more comprehensive service” to make sure consumers receive the best price and provider choices. He added, “The Carrentals solution offered us the ability to include their full comparison service, but with our own branding throughout,” resulting in a superior customer experience, with already positive feedback and bookings well ahead of target.
Many travelers are facing price rises and shortages among car hire companies in popular European destinations. The new car rental service from Co-op Travel will offer better choices among small and large rental suppliers. The company has even made their new offering more prominent on its site to promote the deal.
Carrentals.co.uk managing director Gareth Robinson says, “This is the first white label agreement we have entered into, but the quality of our car hire offering is attracting growing interest from companies who want to enhance their customer experience in this area. We’ve invested a lot in developing the technology to deliver a first class comparison service, and we are confident that Co-op Travel will quickly see the benefits this brings in terms of sales and service.”
