Bruce Forsyth To Perform on Tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly Come Dancing will feature a performance by Bruce Forsyth tonight, as the 81-year old singer will take the stage to sing the classic hit Almost Like Being in Love. The singer will perform for the reality show’s special edition which will air from Blackpool.
Almost Like Being in Love, written in the 1940’s, has been performed by musical greats such as Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, and Shirley Bassey. During the performance, dancers from Strictly will take to the floor to dance around the singer.
An insider for the show said that Bruce’s attitude for the show has been humble and modest, with the famous singer asking simply for a plate of plain biscuits to be on hand. The singer has been rehearsing for the performance since yesterday.
Dancers and judges for the show were bussed in to Blackpool yesterday for the special edition episode and escorted into town via police escort. Joe Calzaghe, a former contestant on the show, also tagged along driving in from Wales. Mr. Calzaghe is currently romantically involved with Kristina Rihanoff, his former dance partner on the show.
Also expected in attendance, and who will be performing alongside Bruce Forsyth is Rod Stewart. Rod Stewart will also give a performance for the special edition Blackpool episode.
Stars for the show were spotted on and off all day today in preparation for the show. Many of the stars were hanging around the Blackpool Tower and even posed for pictures for fans and paparazzi waiting outside the building. The episode will air tonight.
