Sir Elton John Resting after Bought with Flu and E.coli

Reps for Sir Elton John announced that the singer was fit and ready to perform once again after being treated for a rough bought of E.coli. The international superstar has left the hospital and plans to continue with his ongoing worldwide tour.

Sir Elton John had to cancel a couple of shows last week when he fell ill with, first, a case of the flu, and then a more serious ailment of E.coli. Concerts which had to be cancelled include venues in Liverpool, Newcastle, London, Dublin, and Sheffield. Additionally, the singer was forced to cancel three showcases in the US in which Billy Joel was also scheduled to perform.

All dates have been rescheduled, and Elton will now be joining Billy Joel on the 14 of November to play venues in California. Currently, the two superstars have been performing together on their Face 2 Face tour. Billy Joel had previously pulled out of some concert dates also due to illness. The concert duo have been playing to sold out shows all over the US since the summer.

A spokesman for Elton, Gary Farrow, said that Elton is resting at home and feeling normal again. Ticket promoters for the canceled UK venues have said they will look to reschedule to the gigs for dates in December.

It was first announced last week that the singer had fallen ill with a case of the seasonal flu. Elton was hospitalized and although two gigs were cancelled the rest were expected to continue. However, later in the week, Elton came down with an additional case of E.coli forcing the star to cancel even more gigs resulting in the more than five cancelled appearances across the UK. All dates are expected to be rescheduled.
