Top Gear Live will have the Stig attempt a loop the loop
Fans of the television show Top Gear will no doubt be aware that the team has taken the show on the road as Top Gear Live. Over the past few months the shows mysterious fourth presenter, the Stig has been looking forward to performing a death defying loop the loop in a car for the pleasure of the shows audiences.
The team behind the stunt says that it is the most ambitious of its kind. They say that they have had to spend months calculating everything down to the minutest detail. They say that if the tiniest thing goes wrong then the Stig will end up on his head in the flaming wreckage of a souped up dune buggy. Top Gear Live producer, Rowland French says that the loop that the Stig will drive his car around was only completed a few months ago and that it was only at this point the stunt’s designers realized that it might just be possible. French says that they managed to get hold of some of the best rally engineers, structural engineers and stunt teams in the world to prepare for the show.
Paul Swift, who some believe may be the man beneath the white crash helmet says that he does not believe any other driver in the world could accomplish the stunt. He also says that the Stig has done hardly any training and that he just tends to turn up, do it and leave. However it is not all simply great driving and the dune buggy is kitted out with electronics that will hopefully mean that the Stig hits the three storey high loop at the correct speed every time.
