Taylor Swift SNL Diss on Kanye West and Joe Jonas
This weekend, Taylor Swift played host for “Saturday Night Live” and delivered a mix of music and comedy that the show has been missing for a majority of the season. She also took the opportunity to make fun of the incident involving Kanye West at the MTV VMAs this year, as well as dissed Joe Jonas, her ex-boyfriend, in the process.
She opened with a musical monologue, strumming the guitar and singing about everything she wouldn’t say in her monologue. The first joke she made was not bringing up Joe Jonas in her monologue, mentioning him as the guy that broke up with her on the phone. Then she made a crack at her relationship with “Twilight’s” Taylor Lautner, saying that she wouldn’t comment on it but blew a kiss and winked at him.
The best part, though, was when she joked about Kanye West, saying that she wouldn’t mention him in her monologue. She also sang that she had security lining the stage, for which 2 security guys jumped on stage, so that she wouldn’t be interrupted by the rap artist. After she closed her musical monologue and began to leave the stage, she noted to everyone that they had a great night ahead and Kanye West was not there.
Taylor did a great job with the musical monologue, as it was really pretty funny. Plus, she got to make fun of “Twilight” and Kate Gosselin in a few sketches during the night. There’s no doubt that she brought a great number of viewers to the show, as she even promoted making fun of Kanye before the show aired.
