Lindsay and Heath Ledger were Dating when He Died
There is a new found sympathy - a legitimate one - for Lindsay Lohan now after her mom (Dina Lohan) was revealed talking about her dating Heath Ledger when he died last year. Lindsay’s meltdown actually came shortly after his death, and it seems the two are linked.
In a recorded tape released by Lindsay’s father (Michael Lohan), Dina was heard saying that her daughter and Heath were in a relationship when he died of an accidental drug overdose in January last year. She also adds that it was something Lindsay was never able to recover from.
The phone call between Dina and Michael, which was heavily edited to only reveal her side of the conversation, was very long and consisted of Dina attributing much of Lindsay’s personal issues with Heath’s death. She was also afraid that Lindsay would end up accidentally killing herself like he did with drinking and prescription drugs.
This really explains a lot of things, as losing someone you love - something Lindsay is reported to have told friends - is very hard. Not everyone knows how to deal with something like that, and if she only told more people, she may have gotten more help or at least more understanding.
It may also explain why Lindsay started dating girlfriend Samantha Ronson, being so torn up that she didn’t want to be with another man but still needed a companion to help her cope. This isn’t an uncommon feeling among women.
Now Lindsay’s life is being torn apart by people who say they love her during a time when she is trying to get her feet back on the ground. It really makes Michael look like an even bigger jerk to leak this audio recording, as it has undoubtedly hurt her in an unforgivable way. Prayers go out to her as she deals with all this coming out and emotions are stirred once again.
