Dannii Minogue Not at War with Simon Cowell
It was reported earlier this week that Dannii Minogue declared war against Simon Cowell after he voted against Lucie Jones on “X Factor” Sunday, which ultimately led to her being eliminated. A pal of Dannii’s reported that she wasn’t talking to Simon, because she was so angry.
However, Dannii has dismissed these claims, saying that she is still speaking with Simon. On her Twitter page she posted that there is no truth to the rumor, as they talked to each other on the phone Tuesday.
As for Simon, it is anticipated that he will make a statement on Saturday’s show regarding the controversial vote. His publicist Max says that the music mogul needs to clarify why he made the decision he did on the show, as there are a lot of angry people (that’s understatement).
This isn’t the only time that Simon has gotten under Dannii’s skin though, as she was given no notice the weekend before that she was to switch seats on the panel with Louis Walsh. This was to encourage more discussion between Simon and Louis, but Dannii didn’t take kindly to the order - last weekend she only gave the show’s team 10 minutes notice that she would be sitting in her original seat.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Simon has gagged all the “X Factor” contestants from talking bout the controversial result from Sunday. Lloyd Daniels and Olly Murs have been noted saying that they aren’t allowed to talk about the issue to the public.
Plus, an insider says that Simon doesn’t want the already out of hand situation to get worse because of other contestants mouthing off. They also noted that when Simon gives out an order, only an idiot would think to do different. Simon runs a tight ship, they added, and the contestants have been warned with serious consequences if they talk about anything outside the show.
