Daniel Radcliffe Denies Smoking Pot at Party
Daniel Radcliffe has taken to the press to vehemently deny smoking a cannabis cigarette at a party in Camden last week. The photos surfaced in the Mirror earlier yesterday, and since then have been the spotlight of controversery for the 20-year-old Harry Potter star.
Radcliffe said that the Mirror is mistaken and that the images depict the young star smoking a rolled cigarette containing solely tobacco. In the photo, Radcliffe is seen smoking a rolled ciggy at his friend’s flat in north London in the Camden area. Which, the break out film star says is just tobacco.
A spokesperson for Daniel said that Daniel enjoys the occasional rolled cigarette, but that he does not engage in cannabis smoking, and was not involved in any that evening. He added that the star and his legal team would be exploring the necessary avenues to have the photos and story retracted.
The Mirror followed up the controversial images with a 2 page spread on the party, showing Daniel laughing after a pal drew a beard on the actor’s face. Currently, Radcliffe has been filming the last installment of the Harry Potter franchise, which will hit theatres in two parts. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is expected out sometime next year.
