X Factor’s Jedward perform Under Pressure
It looks like Jedward may survive another week after their performance of Queen’s Under Pressure on last nights X Factor. The pair were put under a bit of pressure when musician Calvin Harris who was due to perform on the show got up on stage and put his arm around one of the twins whilst holding a pineapple on his head. Louis Walsh praised the pair for being so professional about the interruption and even Simon Cowell had good things to say as he called the performance their best in the competition so far.
John and Edward were dressed in silver suits as they sang and even members of Queen said they admired the fact that the pair had stuck it out by being either loved or hated. Simon Cowell has defended his decision to keep the pair in the competition by saying that he really didn’t have any strong feeling either way about who was better between the twins and Lucie Jones who ended up having to exit the competition. He said that he left it up to the public to decide.
Lloyd Daniels performed Crazy Little Thing Called Love to the audience’s apparent delight. Simon Cowell however compared him to a puppy running in the Grand National. Joe McElderry sang Somebody to Love and Cheryl Cole had to tell fellow judges to shut up when they started moaning that the use of a choir was perhaps cheating a little. Stacey Solomon won Cowell’s praise as best performance of the evening for her rendition of Who Wants to Live Forever.
