Pets are loyal to their owners; they show the most unconditional love that anyone can ever receive; and they are always there for their owners no matter what the circumstances are; in good times and bad.
These animals as pets are usually dogs, cats, birds and fish. Unfortunately, we all know that not all animals are treated right and not all pets are being cared for the way that they deserve to be treated; especially by their owners.
Thankfully, there are organizations that protect these abused, abandoned and neglected pets and they do their best to nurture back to good health all these animals as best they could.
Blue Cross is an organization that takes in abandoned and neglected pets in the UK.
To date, Blue Cross has taken in more than six thousand dogs and other pets since it began some time in 1911. They nurture, restore to health and provide temporary homes to these neglected pets until they can find a permanent home for them where they will be loved and cared for the way that they deserve.
If you want to adopt a pet, you can make an initial search through their website and see all their animals looking for new homes. You can view pictures of these loveable dogs, cats and other small animals to help you choose the one whom you will give a home to.
How does the adoption process work?
On the website, before you view all the animals that are up for adoption, there is an adoption process page which you are encouraged to read to familiarize yourself with the entire adoption process.
There are about ten steps that you must strictly follow before you can bring home your pet and this includes having the animal checked by a veterinarian; as well as training the pet to help the animal and its new owners get comfortable with each other when they finally meet.
